I can't believe no reviews yet? Here in my 50th b-day year, I'm doing things again that I haven't done in a decade or more. After wanting to take a lesson with Surfari for awhile, I just finally joined the Women's Surf Night class. It was a large group, but the four instructors (including father and daughter team) showed up with boards and wetsuits sized to each of us, and no matter our ability or experience, they gave us the attention and information we needed on the beach and in the water. Although I'm in pretty good swimming shape, it was challenging for me to let go and find my balance, even on the gentle waves at Good Harbor, but I felt encouraged by the instructors and inspired by all these other women. Maybe even a little competitive with them - or myself? (Like, hey, I can do this!) So stoked tonight, I already signed up for the next session when I got home. In the meantime, though, I might even rent a Surfari board and wetsuit to practice on my own. What a wonderful way to spend a hot July afternoon/evening. Now that I got back up on the waves again, I could see myself surfing throughout summer and into fall...
